Chimney sweep logs do not sweep chimneys. They loosen some creosote - which then falls where a brush and vacuum still have to collect it.
DuraFlex Chimney Sweep in Las Vegas: What to Know First
We provide independent DuraFlex chimney sweep and inspection in Las Vegas, and most single-flue sweeps run between $189 and $329 depending on what we find once the brush is in the flue. A standard DuraFlex liner sweep takes 45 to 90 minutes, and we book most jobs within 3 to 5 business days. We are not affiliated with or authorized by DuraFlex. We’re an independent DuraFlex service provider, and we’re writing this page because the liner’s own website won’t tell you what actually happens to these systems after five years of Vegas wind, dust, and creosote. If you own a DuraFlex liner and want a straight answer on whether it needs swept, replaced, or left alone, call (725) 220-6109 and we’ll tell you the price before we touch anything.
How DuraFlex Products Fail – and How We Fix Them
DuraFlex makes a solid liner. But every liner has weak points, and in Las Vegas the climate exposes them faster than most places in the country. Here’s what we actually see when we get a camera into a DuraFlex flue that’s been through a few Vegas summers.
- Creosote bonding to the corrugated wall on DuraFlex 316Ti smooth-wall liners. The smooth-wall versions shed creosote better than the older corrugated profiles, but they aren’t self-cleaning. In Vegas, the dry winter air plus cold overnight starts means creosote deposits harder and faster than homeowners expect. We see stage-two creosote on liners that only burn 15 or 20 fires a year. Fix: mechanical brush sweep matched to liner diameter, then a camera pass to confirm no glaze remains at the seams.
- Warped or separated seams on older DuraFlex DF-AF flexible liners near the firebox offset. The flexible sections take thermal stress at the first bend above the firebox. After enough heat cycles, the seam can pull just enough to catch creosote and slow the draft. Symptom: the fire burns fine for fifteen minutes, then smoke starts pushing back into the room when the flue heats up. Fix: camera inspection to map the separation, then either re-securing the seam or a short section replacement. We’ll show you the video before we recommend anything.
- Punctures from the classic Las Vegas problem: missing rain cap hardware. A wind-driven monsoon storm will turn a loose rain cap into a battering ram on the top of a liner. We find dents and small punctures on the upper sections of DuraFlex liners in Summerlin and Henderson constantly after storm season. Fix: if the puncture is small, a food-grade high-temp patch may hold. If it’s more than a pin hole, we replace the affected section. We never patch a hole we wouldn’t put our name on in writing.
- Improper support on DuraFlex 304 rigid liners causing bowing and creosote pooling. Rigid liner sections need proper support at the top and mid-span. When a handyman installs them without the right support brackets, they sag, and the sag becomes a creosote shelf. We find this in older Las Vegas homes where the liner was installed in the early 2000s and never re-inspected. Fix: re-support the liner, sweep the pooled areas, and document the corrected draft before we leave.
- Damaged or missing O-rings on DuraFlex tee caps and cleanout doors. These small parts are the most common failure we fix. The O-ring dries out in the Vegas heat, the cleanout door no longer seals, and the firebox draws air backward. Owners often think they need a whole new liner when really the fix is a $30 O-ring and fifteen minutes of labor. We tell you that straight. Our job is to fix what’s broken, not replace what isn’t.

Our DuraFlex Chimney Sweep Process
Here’s what a DuraFlex sweep looks like when we do it. This is the Kingswell Way: say the price, show up in the window, leave it cleaner, put the guarantee in writing, and come back if it fails.
- 1
Call and price. You call (725) 220-6109. A live person answers, 24/7. We ask about your fireplace, your liner, and what you’re seeing. We give you a written price range before anyone steps foot on the property.
- 2
Arrival and setup. Our tech shows up in a uniform, background-checked. Floors get covered, hearth gets covered, and the firebox gets sealed before the brush goes in.
- 3
DuraFlex-specific visual and camera inspection. We look at the cleanout, the tee cap, the O-rings, the supports, and the liner walls. Then we run a camera up the full length so we can see the creosote stage and any seam or puncture issues.
- 4
The sweep itself. We use diameter-matched rotary or flat-wire brushes, depending on what the camera showed. For glazed creosote on DuraFlex liners, we use a chemical treatment first, then the mechanical pass.
- 5
Post-sweep camera pass and report. We run the camera again and show you the before-and-after on the spot. If we find damage, we show you exactly where it is. If it’s a repair we can do same-visit, we give you a written price before we touch it. If it needs a part ordered, we tell you that up front.
- 6
Cleanup and guarantee. We leave the firebox cleaner than we found it. Every repair gets a written guarantee under the 365-Day Done Right Promise. If it fails inside the guarantee period, we come back and fix it at no charge.

AfterWhat DuraFlex Chimney Sweep Costs in Las Vegas
Most DuraFlex chimney sweeps in Las Vegas run between $189 and $329 for a single-flue system with standard creosote buildup. If you’re adding a full Level 2 camera inspection, expect to add $99 to $149. Heavy glazed creosote that requires chemical treatment typically adds $75 to $120. If we find damage that needs repair, we give you the repair price as a separate line item, in writing, before we do anything. What moves the price: liner length, creosote stage, access difficulty (roof pitch, second-story rooflines), and whether a cleanout is present. Need an exact quote? Call (725) 220-6109. Estimates are free, and the number we quote on the phone is the number on the invoice.

FAQs
Most DuraFlex liners in Las Vegas should be swept once per year if you burn more than 20 fires. If you burn occasionally, every other year is usually fine. The dry Vegas climate hardens creosote faster than many homeowners expect, so we recommend an annual camera check even if the sweep can wait. Call (725) 220-6109 and we’ll tell you honestly whether your liner needs it this year.
No. A proper mechanical sweep with diameter-matched brushes does not void a DuraFlex warranty. What voids warranties is chemical cleaners not approved for the specific alloy, or abrasive tools that score the liner wall. We use the right equipment for the liner’s material and diameter, and we document every sweep with before-and-after camera footage.
Most full DuraFlex liner replacements in Las Vegas run between $2,800 and $6,500 depending on liner length, access, and whether the old liner needs removed. But here’s the part that matters: less than half the liners we’re asked to replace actually need it. Small O-ring failures, loose supports, and minor punctures are fixable for a few hundred dollars. We show you the camera evidence either way.
We use both, and we tell you which is going in before we do the work. Genuine DuraFlex parts are warranted and match the liner profile exactly. For some common parts like cleanout doors and O-rings, quality aftermarket options do the same job for less. If your liner is under warranty, we use genuine parts without exception. If it’s not, we give you the choice with honest prices on both.
Sometimes. O-ring replacements, minor patch jobs, and support adjustments can usually be done same-visit since our trucks carry common parts. Full section replacements need a parts order, which typically arrives in 3 to 5 business days in Las Vegas. We’ll tell you before the appointment which category your repair falls into. Call (725) 220-6109 for an exact quote and schedule.
